The Times They Are A-Changin'

A lot of work going on here!

After several days of working being done but not particularly visible (electrical and plumbing are pretty much hidden tasks), things are starting to change...RAPIDLY and DRAMATICALLY!










For instance, the dining room light is now working once again (though don't become attached to that chandelier - it's days are numbered!)

And the walls are starting to appear (though one appeared, then disappeared, then re-appeared, then was gone again.  This time I think it is here to stay.)









And yesterday, a big truck appeared with lots of new toys!  The appliances were delivered (into the garage we had just barely made room for by sending some of the old cabinets off to new homes)!

The first appliance to find its way into the kitchen is the ice maker.  (Don't get me wrong - Love my armoire fridge but it doesn't make enough ice to keep our ice tea maker happy!)

This must have inspired the guys because not only was the new ice maker uncrated and hookup established, many of the new cabinets were also being removed from boxes and relocated to their approximate new homes.

No longer just an open space, the beginning of an actual kitchen is starting to emerge.  And out of the chaos, an island takes shape.
